Channel 4's Sex Box, in which couples had sex in a soundproof box on TV before emerging to talk about the experience, is returning for a three-part series.

Clinical sexologist Goedele Liekens will present the series, which aims to shed light on Britain's sex lives and what really happens (or doesn't happen) in the bedroom.

The first series of Sex Box, hosted by Mariella Frostrup, aired in 2013.

Goedele said: "It's great news that a new Sex Box is coming to Channel 4. I'm looking forward to meeting more couples and getting an insight into their relationships through honest and open conversations about what goes on between the sheets. I can't wait to spice up Britain's love lives."

As well as presenting research and statitiscs about our sex lives, Goedele will talk to couples about their fantasies and desires and how to achieve them in a bid to make everyone realise their sexual desire.

The programme is described as "honest and entertaining", with each one-hour episode focusing on a different couple who want to try something new sexually for the first time. As happened in previous series, each couple will enter the private Sex Box to have sex, before emerging and talking about the experience with Goedele and a studio audience.
