When Jane wakes up to an empty bed and finds Ian's letter, she begins to panic, and when she finds he isn't at work either, she realises he's going to attempt suicide,

Jane visits Lucy's grave, hoping to find Ian there, but he's already left. She eventually tracks him down to a bridge and does her best to encourage him down.

After an emotional plea, Jane takes his hand and Ian steps down and embraces her. But as they hug Ian sees a ghost running towards him – Kathy. How will he react to see his mother?

Emmerdale, ITV, 7pm

While Victoria tries to reassure a worried Adam ahead of baby Johnny's operation, Vanessa tries to compensate for her lack of feelings for her son by frantically researching the procedure.

With everyone offering their support, Vanessa is struggling to hide her edginess, and back at the hospital, she feels redundant as Victoria and Adam fuss over Johnny.

Cindy and Dr S'Avage are on the trail of the Gloved Hand Killer, but after the mix up over the DNA samples, they're back to square one.

With Lindsey and Kim wanting to know what's going on, and begging S'Avage not to fire Celine, Cindy takes matters into her own hands and sets up a hidden camera in the drug's store at the hospital hoping to unmask the killer. Will she catch them out?
