We're still not over Mufasa dying in the first film *sob*, but Disney are easing the pain with a brand new movie.
The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar will follow Simba and Nala's second-born son, Kion, who leads a military guard for the pride lands, alongside a cheetah, hippo, and a honey badger.
But it's not just new faces, the hilarious duo Timon and Pumbaa will still be in the show, and Rob Lowe and Gabrielle Union are down to play the now grown-up Simba and Nala. Mufasa is also set to make an appearance too.
The new film will be televised in November on Disney Junior, but putting it on a kids' channel won't stop us from loving every second and probably bawling our eyes out!
The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar paves the way for a new TV show, The Lion Guard, which is also due to hit screens next year.
The television series will also feature the voices of the original cast members. James Earl Jones will reprise the voice of Mufasa, while Ernie Sabella will voice Pumbaa. Yes, we know, this is way too much Lion King news to handle in one day!
Here's a fact to make you feel old: The Lion King was released 21 years ago (eek) and has already had two sequels – The Lion King II: Simba's Pride in 1998 and The Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata in 2004.
Now we're all over excited and there's still months to wait, so in the meantime here's that brilliant 'The Circle Of Life' scene to watch until then!
