It's a turbulent 30 year anniversary for the most colourful airline as we go behind the scenes in Virgin Atlantic: Up In The Air.

Although the airline is celebrating its staying power in a very fickle business, times have been hard and finances are often millions in the red – that might be the company's famous colour, but it's certainly not where they want to be in terms of money!

Richard Branson might not be involved in the day to day running of the place, but he's still the face of the brand and he's determined they can turn things around. The future of the business lies in a five billion pound investment in new Dreamliner planes, and with the first one in production we'll go with customer experience design manager, Nik, as he chooses the interior.

After a two-year recruitment freeze, Virgin is hiring cabin crew again, we'll meet the newbies as they're trained and head off on their first, eventful, flight to Cancun.
