Stephen Mulhern will return to Britain's Got More Talent next year.

The television presenter confirmed to The Sun that he'd signed his new contract following a 90-minute meeting with boss Simon Cowell last week.

He said: "I'm all signed up for year ten. It's all sorted. I had an hour-and-a-half meeting with Simon and you never get that - you get ten minutes if you're lucky!"

Stephen said he reckons that controversial joke about judge Amanda Holden and the Bride of Wildenstein may have been what encouraged Simon to have him back next year.

If you remember, back in May, cheeky Stephen took a swipe at Amanda in jest, saying she was starting to resemble famous plastic surgery lover Jocelyn Wildenstein.

He said: "Simon does love a bit of controversy. If you see a clip of it when it actually went out, he was like a kid in the sweet shop!"

The ninth series of BGT wrapped in May, with dog trainer Jules O'Dwyer being crowned the winner in a controversial finale.

It emerged after she'd won that instead of using dog Matisse in her tight rope stunt, she had used another dog called Chase. Some viewers complained of feeling misled, while ITV said perhaps it should have been made clearer that Jules' act involved multiple dogs.
