The new Powerpuff Girls cast.

Blossom, Buttercup and Bubbles are still sporting their trademark colours but they've had a bit of an image change, looking a bit more shiny than we remember them!

They will also sound a bit different after Cartoon Network chose to recast the original actresses... who don't seem too happy about not even being asked if they'd like to return.

Tara Strong, who voiced Bubbles, tweeted: "I have NO ILL FEELINGS 4 the actresses in the new #ppg, We were just beyond hurt we were NEVER asked..every role I breathe life into I love."

Blossom voice star Catherine Cavadini added: "I wish the new girls well but Wow! does this hurt my heart:(." Elizabeth Daily, who played Buttercup, agreed: "Owie! Rt in the kisser ! Hurts."

This time around, the girls' voices will be provided by actresses Amanda Leighton as Blossom, Kristen Li as Bubbles, and Natalie Palamides as Buttercup.

The Powerpuff Girls aired for six series between 1998 and 2005. It's about three little girls created by Professor Utonium using a mixture of "sugar, spice, and everything nice... and mystery Chemical X which gave them super powers!
