Timothy Spall narrates this documentary exploring the unique relationship that exists between blind people and their dogs in Me and My Guide Dog.

With exclusive access to the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, we're about to witness what a difference these loyal and vital animals can make to people's lives.

Me and My Guide Dog, ITV, Tue 9 Jun

We'll follow one particular litter of pups – the 'K' litter – from the moment of their birth, through their training and up to the momentous day when they finally get paired with the blind person whom they will serve and protect.

Firstly, the pups are taken from the National Breeding Centre where they were born to spend their first year with volunteer foster families. Some families are caring for their first puppy and others are old hands. How will all these puppies get on in their training?
