Soap fever has hit Reveal HQ in the build up to the biggest night on the soap calendar, The British Soap Awards, so it's a good thing that This Morning have decided to dedicate a whole week to soap!

Joined by the cast of Emmerdale, Coronation Street, Doctors, EastEnders and Hollyoaks on the sofa, Sharon Marshall and Alison Hammond will be giving viewers behind the scenes gossip from our soap stars.

While we've got plenty of favourite soap moments of our own, we wanted to grill This Morning's resident soap expert Sharon on her TV highlights, and she was more than happy to have a quick chinwag with Reveal about her favourite soap family, her pick of the sexiest soap stars and the one soap character she'd bring back from the dead...

Which soap do you think has had a strong start with storylines this year?
"All five soaps have been brilliant but EastEnders had the most ambitious storyline of the year with its week of live episodes and the year long secret of who killed Lucy Beale."

If you could bring back one character from the dead from any soap, who would it be and why?
"Pat Butcher from EastEnders. She should never have gone and I miss those earrings."

Speaking of EastEnders, as a scriptwriter on the soap, what's been the best episode you've written?
"Sharon's return - in a wedding dress and wanting Phil, just when he was mid proposal to poor Shirley."

Who is your favourite soap family and why?
"The Dingles in Emmerdale can do anything. Comedy, tragedy, punch ups. They can break your heart or break your face."

What has been your favourite ever storyline or scene in a soap?
"Blanche goes to an AA meeting in Coronation Street. The stair lift was genius."

If you could star in any soap, which would you choose?
"Far too many disasters happen at home, so I think I'd go to Home and Away for the sun."

Tell us, who would be your top three sexiest soap males of all time?
"In EastEnders, Sean Slater made ginger sexy way before Max Branning. Dodger in Hollyoaks is much missed, and I've always had a soft spot for Corrie's Steve McDonald."

What's the best thing about being a soap expert?
"I get to take my mum up to the British Soap Awards. You think I'm soap mad, you should see her!"

What can viewers expect to see on This Morning's Soap Week?
"We have behind the scenes from all five soaps, top stars on each day from Coronation Street, EastEnders, Hollyoaks, Doctors and Emmerdale. And we'll be looking back over a fabulous year of TV!"

This Morning, weekdays, 10.30am on ITV.
