Viewers saw Beth (Jo Joyner) reunited with her missing husband Dave (Shaun Dooley), despite having started a new relationship with her boss Mike (Max Beesley).
The drama, which has been a massive success, stars the likes of Jo, Max, Michelle Keegan and Jason Manford, and now show creator Danny Brocklehurst is hopeful for a second series.
Speaking to Radio Times, Danny said: "There'd better be a second series! From the figures I've seen, I think we deserve one, and the reaction from the public's been amazing."
Danny said he already has an idea about what characters would return: "First they [the BBC] sort of get you to develop an idea of where the second series would go, so at the moment the idea is that we would continue telling a story that heavily involves Mike and Beth, and would keep some of the regulars from the series."
We'll be keeping our fingers crossed!
Viewers have been left on the edge of their seats for most of the series, as each episode focuses on a different character and how everyday little white lies can soon spin out of control with serious consequences.
