Caroline Flack will host a brand new series of Love Island this year.

The former Xtra Factor host will jet off to the sunshine to front a revamped version of the reality show on ITV2 that promises to be more romantic and glamorous than ever before.

Nice work if you can get it!

Caroline said: "I can't wait to host the revamped Love Island. I was a massive fan of the original show, and I'm sure this is going to be one crazy love fuelled island. I can't really think of a better way to spend a Summer – here's hoping it's a scorcher!"

Contestants will live like celebrities in a luxury villa in a beautiful holiday destination. But it's not all fun, sun and topping up your tan. Contestants have to win over the hearts of the other contestants and the all important public in order to stay - and win!

As well as fronting each episode, Caroline will speak with departing cast members before they leave the island and jet back home.

Love Island started life as a reality show with celebrities, hosted by Patrick Kielty and Kelly Brook. The first series saw a group of stars living it up in Fiji and was won by Jayne Middlemiss and Fran Cosgrave.

Fearne Cotton replaced Kelly as the female host of series two, which was eventually won by Bianca Gascoigne and Calum Best.
