Strangeways Here We Come follows the residents of Owen Street in Salford as they get sucked into loans and trapped by the astronomical interest rates of evil loan shark Danny Nolan (Stephen Lord).

EastEnders star Nina Wadia will also appear in the comedy alongside This is England's Channel Cresswell and Cucumber's Peter Caulfield.

Strangeways Here We Come "unfolds with a whodunit story that crackles with wicked laughs, wild party enthusiasm and grisly twists and turns leaving the audience on the edge of their seats".

Former EastEnders and Shameless actor Stephen, who stars in and produces the movie, describes it as a "brutal comedy drama", but says it has a "message of hope too".

This is Michelle's first film role. Since leaving Corrie last year, she bagged a new acting job as car sales receptionist Tracy in BBC One drama Ordinary Lies.
