Amanda Holden is set to host a new TV show which will see celebrities giving up their time to help mistreated and abandoned animals.

Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda has teamed up with the RSPCA for the series, in which stars will swap glitz and glamour for a volunteer job at the charity's Newbrook Farm Animal Centre in Birmingham.

The famous faces - who are yet to be revealed - will be tasked with everything from mucking out the pens, to feeding the animals and responding to emergency callouts.

Speaking about the show, Amanda says: "I'm so delighted to be hosting this new series that will look into the amazing work the RSPCA do.

"Hopefully we'll be able to find some much needed new homes for the pets featured on the show. I am just going to have to stop myself from taking them all home with me!"

The six-part series, called Give A Pet A Home, will air on ITV this spring.

Mirella Breda, creative director and executive producer, adds: "From abandoned horses to rescued rabbits, whether feathered or furry we've got something for everyone and we're sure that ITV viewers will do us proud and help us find a forever home for these animals."

Aww, we can't wait to tune in!
