Mr Bean will return to our television screens for a one-off sketch in March, it has been confirmed.

Rowan Atkinson will reprise his role as the lovable buffoon for Comic Relief's Red Nose Day, almost 20 years after the hit ITV series ended.

A BBC spokesperson told Reveal: "I can confirm there is a Mr Bean sketch for Red Nose Day on Friday 13th March."

Details about the sketch are being kept under wraps but it's welcome news for fans of the popular comedy series. The big question is, will Mr Bean's little teddy bear make an appearance too?!

Mr Bean had a successful five year run from 1990 to 1995 on ITV. Rowan briefly reprised his character in a wedding scene for Red Nose Day in 2007, and he has also appeared in two films.

Meanwhile, a new series of the Mr Bean animated cartoon series will debut on ITV next month.
