Preeya, 34, announced her exciting news last night (8 January), telling fans the stage production of the movie will hit London's West End this summer.
The actress, who played Amira Shah in EastEnders, starred as Monica in the original 2002 film but she will be taking up the role of Pinky - the sister of lead character Jesminder 'Jess' Bhamra.
Taking to Instagram, Preeya posted a picture of herself and Gurinder Chadha, who co-wrote and directed the flick, and told her followers about her new job.
She gushed: "Here I stand once again with the iconic co-writer and director of the film I was in and love, Bend It Like Beckham, to tell you that I am excited to announce I will be starring alongside some amazing talent in 'Bend It Like Beckham: The Musical' opening at the Phoenix Theatre, London, in June!"
Preeya then added: "Get your tickets !! #benditlikebeckham #preeyapix #musical #film."
The star's close friend, model Kelly Brook, has since shared her news with fans on Twitter.
Bend It Like Beckham follows the story of Punjabi Sikh Jess, who is forbidden to play football by her family because she is a girl. The movie also starred Keira Knightley, as Jess' teammate and friend Jules.
