Hetti Bywater, Jamie Lomas and Tanya Franks will reprise their roles in EastEnders for a special flashback episode to document the death of Lucy Beale.

Since last year viewers have been gripped with the chilling and mysterious murder of Ian Beale's daughter Lucy, and now, EastEnders has revealed plans to air a flashback episode, which will fill in the blanks and answer questions that have been haunting Walford residents for months.

This is the first time EastEnders has ever had a flashback episode, and the special will be tie in with the live week of shows in February as part of the soap's 30th anniversary, where Lucy's killer will finally be revealed.

Hetti, who plays Lucy, will be back on our screens once again and viewers will watch Lucy's last moment alive and how she met her fatal end.

Hetti said: "It's great to be part of the conclusion and find out what really happened the night Lucy Beale died…"

Meanwhile Jamie, who plays Jake Stone, said: "It is an honour and a privilege to be part of the 30th anniversary celebrations. It was always part of the plan between Dominic and myself that I would come back for this special episode that will fill the blanks in for the viewers. I always loved my time at EastEnders so I can't wait to get back and start filming these scenes."

Tanya, who plays troubled Rainie Cross, will also help fill in the blanks about her involvement with Ian on the night of Lucy's death.

Executive producer, Dominic Treadwell-Collins, said: "When we first created the 'Who Killed Lucy Beale' storyline, we knew that we had to flash back to the night that she died on screen.
