EastEnders actor Shane Richie is preparing for another "crazy" Christmas in his household this year.

Shane, who plays Alfie Moon in the BBC One soap, is currently starring in Dick Whittington, so we grabbed a chat with him during a break from his busy panto schedule to talk Christmas plans, his new game show Win Your Wish List and playing the iconic Alfie...

What's this Christmas going to be like in the Richie household this year?
Crazy, as I get home from the theatre late Christmas Eve, and no sooner than I've got into bed, the children are shouting, "he's been!" I only have Christmas Day, as I'm up early on Boxing Day and drive back to the theatre as I have two shows that day.

What the best present you've ever received?
My wife and kids!

What's on your wish list this Christmas?
I have a friend who's going through a bit of a tough time, and so I hope things change for him.

What does playing Alfie Moon mean to you?
I'm very lucky!

What reaction do you have from fans about Alfie?
I get wonderful reactions, with selfies being the most requested from people now!

Favourite song and band?
I always have music on in my dressing room at EastEnders and in theatres and in cars. However, my music tastes change with moods so I can't pick one!

Favourite holiday destination?
I seldom return to one location, as like my music tastes, I like different experiences.

Favourite sweet treat?
Jam Roly Poly and Custard!

Shane Richie on The National Lottery: Win Your Wish List - 27 December.

Your new game show Win Your Wish List is airing over Christmas, what is it all about?
We all have a wish list... so it could be a wish to have an exotic holiday, or a wish to have an amazing diamond ring to propose to a partner, and so on! It really is amazing for the contestants and also very nerve-wracking trying to win them, as they're so special, and sometimes so important.

If you were taking part in the show, what would your ultimate prize be?
I'm involved with a children's charity and I would ask the charity what is on their wish list? And hopefully make it come true for them.

Catch The National Lottery: Win Your Wish List at 7.40pm on Saturday 27 December on BBC One
