Barbara Windsor will reprise her role of Mitchell matriarch Peggy next year for EastEnders' 30th anniversary, it has today been confirmed.
The BBC One show will celebrate the milestone over the course of a week in February 2015 and Barbara will make a guest appearance for one episode.
Speaking about her return, Barbara said: "I am absolutely thrilled that Peggy has been included in the celebrations to mark the 30th anniversary of EastEnders.
"What an incredible achievement for all the production, cast and crew, past and present."
Peggy, who was formerly the landlady of the Queen Vic, left the show for good in September 2013. She was seen taking one final look at the pub before leaving Albert Square.
In September, the character did however make another appearance from her villa in Portugal.
EastEnders will air a special 30-minute live episode during their anniversary week, while all other eps will feature live elements to them.
