Sunetra and professional dance partner Brendan Cole found themselves in the dance-off during Sunday night's results show, alongside Mark Wright and his partner Karen Hauer.
Receiving the lowest combined judges' scores and viewer votes, both couples had to take to dance floor again.
Sunetra and Brendan performed their Rumba to 'Girl From Ipanema', while Mark and Karen danced their Salsa to 'Viva Las Vegas' by Elvis Presley.
Once the judges delivered their verdicts, they unanimously decided to save Mark, meaning Sunetra and Brendan would be going home.
Reflecting on her Strictly experience, Sunetra said: "It's been such a once in a lifetime opportunity to be able to do this. I'd like to thank Brendan for being just so committed and understanding, and such a natural dancer - you've been great - thank you so much for everything.
"I also want to say a thank you to every single one of the contestants and all the pro dancers for holding my hand so very tightly – love you all."
Brendan added: "She was a dancer form the beginning, I am extremely proud of her. You should be very proud of yourself to get this far - it's no mean feat! To reiterate thanks to everyone that works on the show - it's the best show on television!"
This weekend's 'Around The World' theme saw the eight remaining couples dance to impress the viewers and judges to secure a place in next week's quarter final.
Strictly Come Dancing's quarter finals airs Saturday 6 December on BBC One at 7pm. The results show will air on Sunday 7 December at 7.20pm.
