Amazingly, she reveals that she and her co-stars are now very used to celebrating the Yuletide season two times over!
"You do get used to it after a few years, but then once Christmas actually arrives you feel as though you've already had it!" she says. "You think, I'm sure I've seen these Christmas decorations before?! It's just the norm for all of us at Corrie."
Luckily, the early fake Christmas doesn't put Kym off celebrating the festive season for real and she says her family enjoys a traditional day every year.
"We always have Christmas at home, we never go away," she says. "We obviously always have a traditional Christmas dinner too but apart from that it's your typical Christmas Day.
"I do always tend to sit and wrap all the presents on Christmas Eve in front of the TV. It's just something I really like to do, staying up til 2am wrapping presents - it's lovely.
"This year will be the first year Polly (Kym's three-year-old daughter) will really understand about Santa, so I'm excited to do the mince pie and carrot with her."
Another tradition Kym will be partaking in is the Christmas party season, and she's keen to pass on her tips for a stylish festive look.
"It's all about sparkle at Christmas isn't it!" she says. "Sequins and lace are usually in fashion at this time of year. I love it! Any excuse to dress up is great."
Sadly, Kym's alter-ego Michelle may not have as happy a Christmas as Kym as her partner Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) battles with his depression.
"I think it'll be bittersweet," she reveals. "She does get to spend it with Steve but I don't think it's the Christmas reunion she will be hoping for.
"I'd like things to sort themselves out for her and Steve. I'd love them to get back together and resolve their issues and get Steve back to being himself."
And we're sure Corrie fans will share Kym's Christmas wishes for her character!
