BBC One has confirmed Tumble will not be returning for a second series.

The competition which saw celebrities master the art of gymnastics and acrobatics has been axed after just one season of the show.

Earlier today, the BBC revealed Tumble will not be returning to our screens.

A spokesperson told Digital Spy: "Whilst we are proud of Tumble and very grateful to everyone involved, we sometimes have to take difficult decisions in order to make room for new shows."

The show - which aired over the summer - saw the likes of former TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh, Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding and Ian 'H' Watkins from Steps go head-to-head for the public's votes as they performed live on the Tumble floor.

Honing their flips, vaults and all round gymnastic tricks after months of training, the celebs then performed their routines live each week in front of a professional judging panel - including Olympic medallist Louis Smith.

But, while they all had a blast filming the show, sadly no more celebs will get to take on the Tumble title.

The show was won by Wolfblood actor Bobby Lockwood.
