Ant and Dec are set to take over from James Corden as hosts of the Brit Awards 2015, it has been announced.

The bubbly Geordie twosome will do the job pretty perfectly we reckon, as they are both the nation's and of course our, favourite TV duo.

And the lads' have got form as they have hosted the music event before - 14 years ago!

The I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and Britain's Got Talent presenters take over from actor and funnyman James Corden, who hosted the event from 2011 to 2014.

And the pair have started with the jokes already, obvs! Their reaction to hearing they were the new chosen ones really did make us LOL, as they said they were "especially excited now we're number one recording artists ourselves." You two...

Of course they're right. Who can forget that Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly reached No1 last year with 'Let's Get Ready to Rhumble' - a re-release of their hilarious 1994 hit? Look at them here, as fresh-faced teenagers. Ah!

The duo said they'll be offering advice on "how to have a number one hit, as long as they're prepared to wait 19 years for their records to top the chart like ours did". They do make us chuckle!

We can't wait to see the pair live on stage for the biggest music night of the year come February. It's bound to be a laugh a minute that's for sure.

The duo added: "We're really excited to be hosting the Brits again next year. It is undoubtedly the biggest night in the British music calendar."

The last time Ant and Dec hosted, the Brits was staged at London's Earls Court and Robbie Williams took home three awards and U2 collected two.

It was also watched by an average audience of four million higher than this year's show, which saw 4.6 million tune in - the lowest figures since 2006.

No doubt it'll be a ratings winner again with these two on board! They sound like they're 'Ready to Rhumble' again...and we can't wait.

The 2015 Brit Awards will take place on 25 February at the O2 Arena in London.
