The Apprentice candidate Steven Ugoalah reckons he's the absolute best social worker in the world and nobody even comes close to his standard.

The supremely confident 25-year-old Canadian is certain that Lord Alan Sugar will love him, saying: "What's not to love?"

He says: "I'm the best social worker in the world. There is nobody better than me. Nobody. People don't even come half as good. I've never come across anybody as good as me."

Steven spent a year travelling in the Arctic before moving to London, making him the only social worker in that area of the world. Now, he runs a social work consultancy alongside a property portfolio.

He describes himself as "resourceful, dynamic and a great negotiator" but gets frustrated when others don't maintain the high standards he expects. He promises he always delivers - whether it's in temperatures of minus 50 or plus 10.

"If we went to Mars right now, I would find a way to be excellent."

The Apprentice, 9pm, BBC1, Tuesday 14 October.
