The Apprentice's Daniel Lassman says he will "out-sell and out-class" the other candidates this year.

The 27-year-old from Essex is among the twenty men and women fighting for the £250,000 investment on offer from Lord Sugar in the new series of the BBC One show.

Daniel is now the director of a company that plans events across the country including pub quizzes, but started out on the street markets working with his dad.

One of his most memorable achievements? Selling a bag of materials to a person who couldn't sew.

Other jobs include playing for Hornchurch FC but injury meant his contract wasn't renewed after a year.

Daniel - who cites James Caan as an influence - is pretty confident about his skills, saying: "I will out-sell them, I will out-class them and I will perform the best just by being me."

The Apprentice, 9pm, BBC1, Tuesday 14 October.
