Matt, who plays Dean Wicks in the BBC One soap, was rumoured to be exiting Albert Square following an upcoming rape storyline involving Dean and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).
Reports suggested that Matt had only signed a short contract and would depart the soap following the major storyline.
However, yesterday (14 September) Matt blasted the rumours as "bulls**t", before tweeting: "Haven't quit. Enjoying being back far too much."
EastEnders also said in a statement on Twitter: "We never confirm contract details however there is absolutely no truth that @matt_diangelo is leaving this Autumn."
Strictly Come Dancing star Matt reprised his role in the long-running soap earlier this year after a six-year hiatus.
His character - formerly known as Deano - arrived back in Walford and went by the name of Dean.
Viewers have since seen Dean's strained relationship with his mum Shirley Carter (played by Linda Henry), his strong bond with his grandad Stan Carter (Timothy West), and his attraction to Linda.
