Ben Mitchell is making a return to EastEnders, however he will be played by a new actor.

Ben, who is hardman Phil Mitchell's son, will make his comeback to the BBC One soap later in the year following the character's early release from prison.

Former chef Harry Reid, who worked in a Marco Pierre White diner before training to be an actor, will play Ben and he is the fifth person to take on the role.

Fans of EastEnders will know that Ben was jailed in 2012 for killing Heather Trott and was also revealed as the father of Lola's baby girl.

Apparently, according to show sources, Ben returns to Albert Square as he has "unfinished" business to sort out.

Those set to be facing the wrath of the character, played by Joshua Pascoe until 2012, include Ben's father Phil (played by Steve McFadden).

Uh oh, we predict fireworks!
