Teenage duo, Charlie Lenehan and Leondre Devries, stole the hearts of the nation with their audition on the ITV talent show in May, and now they're gearing up to release their debut single via Simon Cowell's label Syco Music!
Simon backed BAM from the very start after giving them the Golden Buzzer, which was a pass straight through to the final. Although BAM finished up in third place, good news was just around the corner when they signed an initial one-single deal, just two weeks after the final.
The video sees Charlie and Leondre perform a rendition of 'Hopeful', which is originally by Twista and Faith Evans, inside a classroom at school.
Leondre wrote the lyrics to 'Hopeful' after being relentlessly bullied – physically, mentally and verbally – in school by a group of boys.
"For me, this whole experience has been about connecting with other kids who are going through what I went through," said Leondre. "I've talked to so many people and it's given me an amazing confidence and strength and it just makes me amazingly happy to be able to be in this position to do so much more."
And for Charlie, despite his whirlwind time on BGT, life is still pretty much normal at home.
"We are both really enjoying the experience," said Charlie, "But both of us have our feet on the ground because at the end of the day we are still at school and we are both told by our parents to tidy our rooms, clear the dishwasher and set the table!"
Simon is still backing them all the way too. "These guys have something very special," said the music mogul. "They have a message to put out there and they can connect with any audience."
'Hopeful' by Bars and Melody is due for release on 27 July. The single will also feature a brand new track, 'Shining Star', which was co-written by BAM themselves.
