Lorraine was given up at birth, adopted at 18 months and then fostered again aged eight when her adoptive family broke down – she really knows the system.
Here, she'll trace her own personal story and discuss the impact fostering has had on her life, as well as looking at how it all works today. She also tracks down the foster carers who looked after her as a child, and who she hasn't seen for over 30 years.
Meeting people at every stage of the fostering process at present, from social workers, to foster carers and children in care, Lorraine will find out what it's really like to be in foster care today.
