TV presenter Caroline announced on Wednesday night (11 June) that she was leaving X Factor's spinoff show after three years as co-host.
And among the fans expressing sadness at seeing her go was last year's winner and the most recent X Factor champion, Sam.
Sam tweeted: "Gutted that Caroline will not be doing Xtra Factor next series. Love ya hun."
Caroline announced her exit via an Instagram post titled a "lil announcement".
She wrote: "After three brilliant years of hosting Xtra Factor it's time to pass the baton. It's been incredible and I'll never forget it."
Joking about an Xtra Factor skit of the past, she added: "How can I when I'm married to Louis Walsh? It's all he ever talks about at home. I wish the new team all the best and look forward to watching the new series."
A tweet from X Factor's official Twitter account also confirmed her departure, saying it was Caroline's choice to leave.
"After 3 amazing years @carolineflack1 has chosen to move on from the show," it read.
"As one of the longest serving Xtra Factor hosts ever, she did a brilliant job getting the goss and behind the scenes news. We wish @carolineflack1 the best as she heads off to new adventures."
Caroline will be replaced by BBC Radio 1Xtra DJ Sarah-Jane Crawford.
