Before we give you the lowdown on the house surroundings, we grabbed a quick chat with Big Brother host Emma Willis and Bit On The Side presenter Rylan Clark, who said the housemates are in for a tough ride...
"We came in yesterday for the first time," said Rylan. "This is where the budget's gone. It's amazing in here. It's just Big Brother, but it's been upgraded!"
Emma was in agreement, saying the housemates will be "uncomfortable" from the start: "It's designed to be uncomfortable from the beginning I think, which sets the tone for the whole series. It's going to keep people on edge. You can't utterly relax in here, and with the theme Power Trip, I wouldn't relax too much."
Rylan even compared the futuristic surroundings to a "Russian disco"! He said: "It looks nice but it doesn't feel nice. Everything in here looks good to watch visually but to live in here is not going to be great. This house is like a Russian disco, literally. Everything you touch will light up, it's crazy!"
Rylan, who won Celebrity Big Brother in January 2013, said in order to win the show housemates just need to be themselves. "You walk in as a contestant and it's a real house. You don't get to see the camera runs and the crew behind the scenes," he said.
"There's only one way you can win Big Brother and you've just got to be yourself. You can play the game, by all means play the game, but if you think you can act your whole way through Big Brother you shouldn't be in Borehamwood, you should be in Hollywood!"
Big Brother house tour: Reveal get the inside scoop!
Yesterday, the brand new Diary Room chair was unveiled and after testing it out, we reckon show bosses want to make living arrangements for the housemates pretty uncomfortable! It's not the comfiest of chairs to sit on but it's a pretty cool room to be in. The three screens surrounded in the room will also be a new way of communication in the house.
We love the garden this year. Not only is it bright and colourful, but it's got the biggest pool it has ever had in Big Brother's entire run! We can expect the housemates to be getting up to some antics after a good party no doubt.
The garden is spacious in contrast to the bedroom, which is probably one of the smallest it has ever been. We can imagine the housemates feeling pretty claustrophobic at times and if personal space is an issue, they probably won't like the fact that they'll have to share beds, as there are no single beds, only double - oops!
Seeing as Power Trip is the theme, the technological features of the house are prominent throughout. From tablets and screens, to touch pad identity scanners and changing light panels in the kitchen, there's no escaping for the housemates. The living area is quite calm but the technology definitely leaves you on edge.
How will the new set of housemates get on?! We'll soon find out!
Big Brother: Power Trip kicks off with a double-bill this tonight (Thursday 5 June) and tomorrow (Friday 6 June) at 9pm on Channel 5.
