Amanda Holden, who had chosen Paddy and Nico as her golden buzzer choice, expressed her sadness at the decision after 79-year-old Paddy Jones injured her ribs during a semi-final rehearsal injury.
Britain's Got More Talent host Stephen Mulhern announced last night: "Paddy and Nico will sadly not be in the competition due to an injury. We wish her well and it's very sad."
Amanda Holden said of the sad news: "The most important thing is that she makes a recovery. She's injured her rib and of course I'm gutted as I actually think she would have won Britain's Got Talent 2014. I think she would have clearly won it."
A spokesperson for the show also confirmed: "After seeking medical advice, Paddy will not be able to perform in the semi-final.
"Unfortunately because of this Paddy and Nico have had to withdraw from the competition."
Salsa dancing gran Paddy wowed the judges with her first audition after unleashing her energetic dance moves.
However, Paddy's successful audition was controversial, as it was soon revealed that she had competed and won in similar Spanish talent show, Tu Si Que Vales (You Are Worth It), back in 2009.
Both Paddy and Simon Cowell defended her decision to audition, with Simon stating: "Don't knock Paddy for performing on a Spanish talent show. She is British and wants the chance to perform in front of our Royal family. Let her have that chance."
Britain's Got Talent continues on Saturday 31 May at 7pm on ITV.
