The Big Allotment Challenge, Fern Britton, BBC2, Tue 15 Apr

Fern Britton hosts The Big Allotment Challenge celebrating all things horticultural.

We've had the Bake Off, we've had sewing and now we've got gardening as nine pairs of passionate and knowledgeable amateur gardeners bid to be crowned Britain's Best Growers.

Fern's joined by judges – award-winning horticulturist Jim Buttress, floral designer Jonathan Moseley and first lady of preserves Thane Prince, and each week they'll award a best in show, before one couple is sent home.

The contestants will have to plant, plot, prune, perfect and harvest a series of prize-worthy fruits, vegetables, and flowers. But who will prove the best?

The Big Allotment Challenge, BBC2, 8pm
