The drama, which is centred around a senior school, will finish after the next series as bosses feel it has reached "the end of its lifecycle".
But fans don't have to reach for the tissues just yet, as the final shows will air next year - and there are 20 episodes to come!
In a statement on Twitter today (2 April), the BBC said: "Series 10 of #WaterlooRoad will be the final series.
"We're incredibly proud of the show but believe it has reached the end of its lifecycle.
"We still have a further 20 episodes to look forward to before #WaterlooRoad finishes in 2015, and we'll be sending the show out on a high."
Waterloo Road first hit our screens in 2006 and it has played host to many familiar faces.
Strictly Come Dancing star Chelsee Healey got her big break on the show and it has also seen the likes of Angela Griffin, Neil Morrissey, Jill Halfpenny and Denise Welch grace its school corridors.
Last year, the cast and crew moved up to Scotland to a new set.
