Christine Bleakley will join Holly Willoughby next month to co-present ITV's daytime show This Morning.

Show bosses confirmed that while Holly's regular co-host Phillip Schofield films the new series of celebrity game show All Star Mr & Mrs, his Dancing On Ice co-star Christine will fill in for him.

Christine's casting alongside Holly marks the first time the pair have worked together on the show, and sees a change to the familiar male and female presenting set-up.

Former One Show presenter Christine, who often covers for Holly while she's away, will co-host This Morning for two days on Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 March.

This Morning editor Adam Vandermark said: "Holly and Christine will make a great new hosting combination - their friendship and love of the show will be reflected I'm sure.

"This Morning hasn't had an all-female hosting duo for quite a while, so it'll bring a fresh and fun few days for our viewers!"

Last month, X Factor host Dermot O'Leary filled in for Phillip while he was busy filming The Cube.

Christine, who is engaged to footballer Frank Lampard, took over from Holly on Dancing On Ice in 2011 and is currently presenting the last ever series of the celebrity skating show with Philip.
