The Big Reunion star has been called in to replace Flash Gordon's Sam Jones, who was forced to pull out due to injury.
Ritchie will now be put through his paces for the new Channel 4 show, in which he will join the likes of Amy Childs and Sinitta to tackle some of the most challenging and dangerous winter sports.
Ritchie offiically announced the news on Twitter last night (14 January). He said: "I will be taking part in Channel 4's new programme #TheJump. Very excited and it's been a gruelling week. Bring on the games."
And Ritchie's girlfriend - Atomic Kitten star Natasha Hamilton - was full of support, tweeting: "So proud of my baby @RitchieNeville who will be part of this years @Channel4 adrenaline fuelled TV show 'The Jump' #excited #thejump x."
Last week, Ritchie shared a photo of himself drinking beer at a ski resort in Austria, and it turns out he was there to practice his skills on the slopes!
Ritchie is not the only celebrity to be coming in at a late stage; former Dancing on Ice runner-up Laura Hamilton is also joining the team, replacing Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, who quit the show.
Taking part on the men's team is Ritchie, Olympic gold medallist Sir Steve Redgrave, ex-England cricketer Darren Gough, comedian Marcus Brigstocke, hairdresser Nicky Clarke and party promoter Henry Conway.
For the women, there's Amy, Sinitta and Laura, along with former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt, broadcaster Anthea Turner and TV presenter Melinda Messenger. The show is expected to air at the end of this month.
