Golf players left shocked when 3 foot cod ends up on playing course

Golf players were obstructed with an unusual hazard at a golf course in Porthcrawl, South Wales when a large cod landed where they were playing.

The three foot, fully grown cod was hurled out of the sea during the storms, leaving golf players stunned when it was found among debris at the third hole, as torrential weather continues to disrupt Britain.

Club pro Peter Evans, 49, who works for the Royal Porthcrawl Golf Club, explained to The Sun: "We went to clear up and saw this huge fish lying there. We didn't weigh it but it looked at least 12lbs. I've never seen anything like it."

The huge storms have caused havoc among Britain over the last few days, with waves 30ft in height bringing disruption to the costal towns throughout the UK.
