EastEnders, Corrie, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks: we take a look at tonight's soap storylines…

EastEnders, BBC1, 8pm

Continuing his manipulation of Janine, David takes her to Pat's grave with him, where he gets emotional about how he let his mum down and makes an apology to Pat's headstone.

Overwhelmed with guilt, David runs off and leaves Janine stranded at the cemetery. She's fuming when she gets home, but is stunned into silence when she sees David packing his bags to leave.

Janine is desperate to convince him to stay, telling him she needs him, and eventually breaking down and confessing she killed Michael. David offers her comfort, but little does she know, he's recorded the whole thing on his phone…

Coronation Street, ITV, 7.30pm

Kylie's under pressure and eventually agrees to let David attend Max's nativity, but she can't hide her upset at the fact David's slowly worming his way back into the family's affections.

She goes on a bender to drown her sorrows and clashes with Tina in the Rovers. She's thrown out of the pub, and heads off to the nativity absolutely sozzled.

At the school hall, she's asked to leave because of her drunken behaviour, but will she go quietly?

Emmerdale, ITV, 7pm

Robbie is worried about Declan when he visits Home Farm and sees the state it's in. He searches for him, but can't find his uncle, so calls Megan to come home fast.

Meanwhile, Declan has gone into the woods alone. He goes deeper into the forestry carrying a shotgun.

Hollyoaks, C4, 6.30pm

Ste takes responsibility for John Paul being handcuffed to the staircase at the Lomaxes', but he gets sick of all the teasing and disapproving looks from the rest of the family.

He begs Danny to end things with JP for the sake of his marriage to Sam, but Danny tells him it's complicated.

When Ste and John Paul later come face to face in the village, it escalates into a fight, with both ending up bloodied and battered. Later the two have a heart-to-heart, but what will be said?
