Former prisoner officer Sam, 36, scored the recording contract prize and chance to tour with Beyonce when she beat student Nicholas McDonald, 17, in the 2013 finale at the weekend.
Her winner's song is now sitting pretty at the top of the charts and there's buzz it could secure the coveted number one spot in the Christmas chart.
Now, giving Sam another reason to celebrate, Demi, the lady behind 'Skyscraper' has reached out via Twitter to show her support, writing: "Congratulations @SamBaileyREAL on winning X Factor UK!! Love your version of Skyscraper!"
Sam was quick to reply: "Thank you so much x."
Demi released 'Skyscraper' as the first single from her third studio album, Unbroken, in 2011 and it hit the top of the iTunes chart in the US within its first hour of release.
She originally recorded the song in 2010 when she was battling personal demons including drug addiction and an eating disorder and later said she connected to the lyrics as they represented her own journey.
After leaving rehab the following year, she re-recorded the song but then decided to keep the original version as she felt the vocals were more raw and emotional.
"For me it was... so symbolic, it being the song I recorded before treatment and yet it was providing a message," she told E! News at the time.
"It's so crazy the way things played out, that it ended up being my symbol and it represented what I'm trying to spread the word about: getting help and rising above any issues that [I and] my fans are dealing with."
Demi now serves as a judge on US X Factor alongside Simon Cowell.
