Tomorrow's finale (15 December) will see either Sam or Nicholas crowned winner of The X Factor 2013 after months of fierce competition.
Luke got the fewest votes tonight, and left the competition disappointed that he will not be winning a record contract and supporting Beyoncé on the British leg of her Mrs Carter Show World Tour.
The first of the two-part final - filmed at Wembley Arena in front of an audience of 10,000 - was a jam-packed show full of amazing performances as the three finalists desperately tried to win our votes.
We saw Luke, Nicholas and Sam perform Naughty Boy's 'Lifted' together at the beginning of the show, and go back to their home towns to meet their fans.
During the exciting show, we saw Scottish Nicholas tackle Robbie Williams' hit 'Candy', and duet with Westlife's Shane Filan on 'Flying Without Wings'.
Leicester gal Sam belted out Lady Gaga's 'Edge of Glory', and was joined by Nicole Scherzinger to sing massive hit 'And I'm Telling You' from the musical Dreamgirls.
Finally, Devon-born Luke sang 'We Are Young' by Fun, and shared a stage with Ellie Goulding for hit 'Anything Could Happen'.
Guest performers included The Killers, Tom Odell and some of X Factor's most memorable contestants including Rylan Clark, Kitty Brucknell, Johnny Robinson, Jedward and Wagner who performed a musical medley.
At the end of the night, Luke faced the music and failed to win as many votes as his fellow finalists.
Mentor Louis Walsh said: "He's got something unique; he's going to have an amazing career. Watch this space!"
