But Rebecca's family are now urging ITV bosses to reveal the exact reason why she was made exempt from the gruesome challenges.
Speaking to The Mirror, Rebecca's uncle Tony fears the Olympic swimmer will be getting a bad press as people wonder why she is unable to take part.
He also insists Rebecca herself wants viewers to know to precise reason for her being let off.
He told the newspaper: "Becky wants the public to know why she is being excused. She's not happy she's being pulled out of trials."
Rebecca's aunt Sonia added: "Years of swimming gave her a medical condition, details of which we've been told not to divulge."
In the past, Rebecca has spoken openly about how she suffers from asthma, which is exercise-induced and common among swimmers.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the jungle, Kian Egan, Leila Morse and Steve Davis returned to camp after being treated to lunch in a luxury villa.
To top it off, they were joined by their loved ones and Westlife star Kian broke down in tears as he was reunited with his beloved wife Jodi Albert.
Since then, former Hollyoaks actress Jodi has thanked fans for all the support her husband is receiving on the ITV reality show.
