The reality stars, who appeared on ITV's Daybreak this morning (21 November), even said that they were jealous of Joey's blossoming friendship with beauty queen Amy Willerton!
Arg in particular, has taken quite a shine to Amy, and couldn't stop gushing about the 21-year-old. "She's lovely," he said. "I am a bit jealous yeah."
Joey's sister, Frankie Essex, doesn't think there's any sign of a romance between the pair just yet, and Arg doesn't seem too sure either. "If it doesn't work out with them two hopefully he'll introduce me to her after," he continued. "She's naturally pretty, she's well spoken, a bright girl."
During last night's show (20 November), viewers saw Matthew Wright lose out to Joey for the second time, as they went head-to-head in another Bush Tucker Trial. Once arriving back at camp, a defeated Matthew told his fellow campmates that he thought Joey may be putting on an act.
He said: "Losing twice in a row is not great for my ego at all and it also suggests to me that Joey doing the 'I don't know this and I don't know that' may be a bit of a front."
However, Arg and Tom have defended Joey against Matthew's claims. Tom said: "Joey is genuinely like that, he is, he always has been and I feel like Matthew might just be saying that [he's putting on a front] because he's lost in the two trials."
"When he [Joey] says he can't tell the time, I think it's the roman numerals on his watch, where as if he's got a numbered watch, he's alright with it,"Arg added.
Both Arg and Tom also admitted that seeing Joey in the Australian jungle, has made them them want to experience it too.
Also referring to his best friend Mark Wright, who came second place in the show in 2011, Arg said: "Two of my closest friends have done it now. Maybe I'll get a shot one day."
Touching on the rumours that Joey's ex Sam Faiers was to enter the jungle, which has since been denied, Tom said if it was true, it would have made it "more awkward for Joey if he is trying to pull Amy."
"It'd be good entertainment value," Arg continued. "But I think one of the main reasons Joey was so looking forward to going to the jungle is to sort of get away from Essex, go off and do his own thing, find himself a bit and it'd be going backwards if Sam was to go out there."
