The TOWIE star, 23, is more used to turning up at nightclubs in a fancy car but he arrived in the jungle on a parachute!
In the episode which will air tonight (November 17), Joey can be seen boarding a helicopter, fighting his nerves and then jumping off in tandem with a professional (thank goodness for that).
After landing, he exclaims: "That was sick."
It's just the first of many tests that the Essex boy will face over the coming weeks, alongside fellow campmates including Emmerdale's Lucy Pargeter, Westlife's Kian Egan and model Amy Willerton.
Once on the island, it was time for the celebrities to face their first Bush Tucker Trial - Rotten Roulette.
Joey and snooker player Steve Davis in the red team were pitted against the yellow team - Lucy and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star Alfonso Ribeiro.
The celebrities had to compete against one another to win food for the camp and, more importantly, a better living environment. The winners would spend their first few days in the relative luxury of Croc Creek, while the losing side would be in the smaller Snake Rock which resembled an abandoned camp.
While Steve got scorpions, Joey was forced to lie in the glass coffin with large lizards.
Joey yelped about one particular predator: "It's scratching the hell out of me. He's biting me."
While, we won't reveal who won the trial, we will let you into a little secret... Within minutes of meeting each other, Joey has Alfonso saying "reem".
Don't miss I'm A Celebrity... which begins at 9pm on Sunday 17 November.
