Natalie, 30, will make her dramatic comeback to Albert Square next year in a "gripping" storyline involving the Butcher women.
Since quitting the BBC1 soap in 2007, Natalie has popped up here and there for the odd episode.
However, this time, the mum-of-one is coming back to Walford for good!
Natalie said: "After seven years being out of the show, apart from the odd episode, I am extremely excited and honoured to be making a full-time return."
The star, who made her first appearance in EastEnders in 1993, added: "I feel so lucky as an actress to get back to my roots."
Natalie's character Sonia will be returning with her daughter Rebecca, who she gave birth to unexpectedly in her living room as a teenager.
She last appeared in the soap in 2011, when Sonia briefly returned to Walford following her brother Billie's death.
Sonia told her family she had split with her husband Martin Fowler and was living in Essex with Rebecca.
