X Factor finalist Sam Callahan says he's thrilled to make live shows and is just "buzzing" to get on the stage and show the UK what he's got.

The 19-year-old barman from Essex won a place in the 2013 live shows this weekend after impressing mentor Louis Walsh at judges' houses in glamorous St. Tropez.

"Judges' houses was an emotional rollercoaster, but I love doing what I do and it was such a good few days; I didn't want to come home! We got to go swimming, and we went on a beautiful yacht that had a hot tub and three jet skis!"

He added: "I cannot wait to hear the "Sam Callahan" voice over and the audience when I walk out onto that stage for the first live show. That would really psych me up! I'm buzzing to get out there and show everyone what I'm made of!"

Sam is no stranger to the stage having supported former X Factor acts District 3 and Union J at concerts in Scotland and having completed a solo tour of schools earlier this year.

His ultimate goal is to headline Knebworth like Robbie Williams.

X Factor continues Saturday, 12 October on ITV1.
