One of TV's worst-kept secrets was officially announced on Tuesday (3 September) when the Fox network in the US announced J.Lo would be returning as a judge and Harry had signed on for his first series.
American Idol confirmed the news via a tweet which included a picture of the new judges.
'Jenny From The Block' singer Jennifer served as a judge on Idol's tenth and eleventh seasons alongside Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson, before leaving alongside Aerosmith's Steven ahead of the twelfth season.
Then, Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and country star Keith Urban joined Randy for series twelve, which saw Candice Glover crowned the winner.
Mariah, Nicki and Randy - an original Idol judge - announced their departures at the end of that series, meaning Keith is the only returning judge.
Randy will, however, still be around, serving as the in-house mentor.
Jennifer and Harry, who has served as guest mentor in the past, had been heavily linked with the show in recent weeks so today's announcement isn't a huge surprise.
Harry said: "I have always been a huge fan of American Idol and really enjoyed my time as a mentor on the show, and I am honoured that they've asked me to be a judge this season. As an entertainer, I am truly excited to bring my perspective to American Idol and to help emerging performers find their way."
Jennifer added on her own account: "#IDOL2014TheRemix ...see ya soon."
They'll get straight to work at auditions in Boston, Massachusetts later today. We'll get to see all the action here in the UK when American Idol returns to 5* in 2014.
Who's already excited?!
American Idol has launched the careers of stars including Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks, Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry and Adam Lambert.
