The BBC journalist is the fourth celebrity confirmed as a contestant for the brand new series of the dancing competition.
Strictly Come Dancing's official Twitter account revealed the news this morning (2 September), writing: BREAKING NEWS: @susannareid100 joins Strictly: Let's get Reid-y to Rumba! #SCD2013."
Susanna responded by saying: "I'm sequined-up and making a visit to Planet Strictly #scd2013."
The broadcaster had been rumoured as a contestant last week, with a source telling The Mirror: "She is the most popular thing on breakfast TV and is loved by millions.
"She is used to getting up early for her job, but she faces a tough schedule now to fit everything in along with her family life."
Of course, the BBC Breakfast star is no stranger to dancing on the small screen. She took part in Children In Need's version of SCD in 2011.

The brunette now joins previously announced contestants Vanessa Feltz, Abbey Clancy and Countdown's Rachel Riley.
Strictly Come Dancing launches 7 September on BBC One.
