The model wife of footballer Peter Crouch and Countdown favourite Rachel were announced as celebrity dancers by the show's official Twitter account on Saturday (30 August).
A tweet read: "The stunning #AbbeyClancy is set to strut her stuff on the Strictly dancefloor! #SCD2013 @OfficialClancy."
Abbey replied: "Yes it's true I will be doing strictly #terrified #excited #SCD2013 @bbcstrictly."
Her announcement isn't a huge surprise given recent rumours that she would be involved.
Rachel's involvement was also confirmed via Twitter, with the official SCD account tweeting: "Welcome the lovely @RachelRileyRR to Strictly! Our next consonant... sorry contestant on the show! #scd3013."
They join previously announced contestant Vanessa Feltz.
Strictly's new series will see 15 celebrity names – the most ever – competing for the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy.
Regular pro dancers Brendan Cole, Anton Du Beke, James Jordan, Robin Windsor, Artem Chigvintsev, Pasha Kovalev, Ola Jordan, Kristina Rhianoff, Natalie Lowe and Karen Hauer will all return.
In addition, viewers will be introduced to five new professionals: Anya Garnis, Janette Manrara, Iveta Lukosiute, Aljaz Skorjanec and Kevin Clifton.
