The 51-year-old is the first celebrity contestant to be unveiled for the new run of the BBC One dance show, which kicks off Saturday, 7 September.
DJ Vanessa confirmed the news during an appearance on Radio 2's breakfast show on Thursday morning (29 August) - dressing appropriately in a very sparkly dress.
It even looks like she took breakfast show guest host Zoe Ball for a spin around the studio - we guess she's raring to go!
Vanessa's appearance among the cast isn't a surprise: she was rumoured to be in the running earlier this month, with a source telling The Sun: "She is lots of fun and always up for being outrageous, which is just what Strictly needs."
Strictly's new series will see 15 celebrity names – the most ever – competing for the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy.
Other famous faces linked to the show this year include Sophie Ellis Bextor, Abbey Clancy, Desperate Housewives actress Teri Hatcher and Countdown's Rachel Riley.
While BBC is keeping tight-lipped on the identities of the celebrity dancers – other than Vanessa – it has revealed which pro dancers will be back.
Regulars Brendan Cole, Anton Du Beke, James Jordan, Robin Windsor, Artem Chigvintsev, Pasha Kovalev, Ola Jordan, Kristina Rhianoff, Natalie Lowe and Karen Hauer will all return.
In addition, viewers will be introduced to five new professionals: Anya Garnis, Janette Manrara, Iveta Lukosiute, Aljaz Skorjanec and Kevin Clifton.
