The Apprentice candidates will be left "open mouthed" in tomorrow night's episode after there is a shock firing in the boardroom.

The final five - Luisa Zissman, Leah Totton, Neil Clough, Francesca MacDuff-Varley and Jordan Poulton - start their day with an early morning phone call from Lord Alan Sugar, who gives them 24 hours to prepare for the notorious interviews stage.

During the interviews, Luisa finds herself facing the wrath of Margaret Mountford for writing in her application that she has "fake boobs".

Neil also gets told that his business plan won't compete with rivals, while Francesca is warned that she comes across as "boring" in her CV.

In the trailer for the show, Lord Sugar's pal Claude Littner even describes one of the candidates as a "parasite" before telling them the interview is "terminated". Ouch!

But things appear to get a whole lot worse when the interviews are done and the hopefuls return to the boardroom to face a grilling.

Giving us a sneak peek, the BBC says: "In an emotional boardroom, Lord Sugar receives some surprising news, and someone feels the full force of his fury, before a shock exit leaves everyone open mouthed.

"In the fight to make the final, dreams come crashing down. Only two can make the grade, as the rest all kiss the investment goodbye as they hear the words, 'You're Fired!'"

The Apprentice, 9pm, BBC1, Wednesday 10 July.
