Danny Dyer has joined the cast of Hollyoaks Later and will star alongside former faces of the soap Jeremy Edwards, James Redmond and John Pickard.

Danny, 35, will play a hardman ex-pat named 'The White Man' in the forthcoming episodes, which will air across five nights on E4 this autumn.

Hollyoaks stalward Nick Pickard, whose character Tony Hutchinson is set to be reunited with his former friends Kurt Benson (Jeremy), Finn (James) and his on and off screen brother Dom (John), will travel abroad in the episodes as his fight with cancer continues.

But when Tony agrees to undertake a dodgy deal for the village hard man, Trevor Royle, he falls foul of 'The White Man'. Soon, Tony and his pals find themselves embroiled in the world of high-stakes poker, Russian roulette and kidnapping!

Given that he has previously starred in Human Traffic and Mean Machine to name a few, Danny being being cast as a hardman comes as no surprise to us - although we never would've had him down as a Hollyoaks man!

Jane Steventon, producer of Hollyoaks Later, said: "I'm thrilled that we have brought together such an amazing cast for this year's Later and with the addition of Danny Dyer, the adventures can really kick off."
