Julian looked in shock as his name was called, and near tears as he left the house to fireworks and cheers. "I have never won anything in my life," he said. "Of course I want to say thank you and you've made a 53-year-old homosexual very happy."
"I'm a complete wreck, don't you understand," he added later.

Discussing housemate Julie Goodyear, he said: "She was constantly entertaining me and making me laugh. I was quite lost when she left... She's got it in her and she stirs things up, I love you Julie."
And did he feel pressure to perform as a comedian? "No," he said. "I'm not very sociable really. I'd keep myself nice but occasionally say something. It wasn't a constant stream of double entendres!"
He also briefly spoke about not getting involved in house conflict, saying: "I don't like when people get snappy. My mission was to always keep the peace.
As for what he thinks the show will do for him, he joked: "I should think it has given me a bit of a shot in the arm, I'm going on tour very soon!"
